Abstract
The study included the preparation of a number of azetidine
derivatives, three derivatives .Prepared from the reaction of primary
amines with 1,3-dibromopropane in the presence of sodium carbonate.
The other two derivatives of azetidine were prepared from the reaction of
different primary amines with alkenes in the presence of Nbromosuccianmide
in methanol as a solvent.
Synthesis of AzetidinesAll prepared azetidine and azetidine-2-one compounds were
characterized by spectroscopic methods which included infrared
spectroscopy, proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy, and
carbon magnetic resonance spectroscopy, while the prepared
Schiff bases were diagnosed by infrared spectrometer only
