This study (the policy of appointment and job dismissal in Iraq during the Buyid era, 334-444 AH " Political functions model " ) aims to shed light on the owners of the highest jobs in Iraq during the era of the Buyid era, and these jobs included both the Caliphate Institution and the Buyid Emirate, and what What distinguishes this era is that the supreme power was not in the hands of the Abbasid caliph as it was in the past, but was in the hands of the Buyid prince, the owner of the solution and the contract in all the joints of the state. Even the Abbasid caliph himself submitted to the will of the Buyid prince, so his appointment and dismissal was subject to that will and even the higher positions related to him Like his crown princes, his veils, and his clerks, they were appointed most of the time by the Buyid authority, except for certain cases in which the caliph's powers were granted to choose whomever he wanted. As for the job of the ministry, it was restricted to the Buyid princes and abolished for the Abbasid caliphs after a clerk was appointed for them to manage some of their affairs and private fiefs. In addition to what was mentioned, the senior posts covered in this study included (the princes of the provinces) and their appointment and dismissal were exclusively entrusted to the Buyid prince, as well as the deputies of the Buyid prince who were appointed by the Buyid princes when they left Baghdad for a temporary period or when some of them took the city of Shiraz as their capital and left Baghdad The deputy emir al-Buwayhi was like the emir himself, and his authority was higher than the minister, and sometimes the prosecution and the ministry were combined for the same person. Another high position was the veil of the Buyid princes, and this position was only held by those who were very close to the Buyid prince because of his sensitivity and importance related to the life of the prince, the entity of the state and its secrets. The reason for choosing this topic, which is the nomination of my supervisor professor, is due to my desire to study it and know its ambiguities as well as the fact that the policy of appointment and job dismissal was not studied during the Al-Buwaihi era and the previous studies similar to this topic were in previous eras such as: (The policy of job isolation in the era Abbasid 232-334 AH/646-545 AD), so this study was to shed light on the functional structure during the Buyid era and included appointment and dismissal together. The senior political positions in Iraq during that era. As for the other jobs, they were of two types, including those related to the religious aspect, such as: the judiciary, the calculation, the grievances, the imams of mosques, the captains and the emirs of Hajj, and the second type is the administrative jobs related to the bureaus, the police, the army and others, and these jobs together need a special study There is no space here to study it, as we have shown above. This study was not easy and easy, as I faced some difficulties, including the general situation of the country and the spread of the epidemic, which contributed to the lack of movement and movement between libraries to complete the historical material, and the other thing is in the nature of the historical material, as the available information does not cover all Employers, and therefore we find that there are missing links from some of them, and even some of those mentioned who do not have sufficient information about the reasons for their appointment or removal from the job, and this is what required research and effort to give a semi-integrated picture to the reader to fill the shortage and gaps in the available material. The nature of the historical material necessitated that the study be divided into four chapters preceded by a preface in which we dealt with the concept of appointment and job isolation in language and terminology. In the second section, we dealt with the books of the Abbasid Caliphs . As for the second chapter, it came under the title (The Buyid Ministers), and by the nature of its article, it was not divided into sections. We dealt with the ministers during the Buyid era, how they were appointed and the reasons for their selection, as well as the reasons for dismissal, which often led to the catastrophe, confiscation and some cases to murder. The third chapter of this study came under the title (Princes of the Regions) and it was divided into five sections according to the states under the Buyid authority at the time in Iraq, namely Basra, Mosul, Wasit, Kufa and Al-Bataeh, and we explained in it the policy followed by the Buyids in appointing and isolating those who administer those states
